[Petition in 2 parts with a recited writ].1) The archbishop requests that the king's will in the writ granted to the archbishop concerning the appointment of attorneys be adjudged according to the nature of the writ, namely that he is able to have attorneys in pleas for and against him pending the dispute in the court of Rome concerning the dispute over the primacy of archbishops in Ireland. The justices of the Bench only wished to allow attorneys when he is impleaded.2) Copy of a writ of Edward I to Robert de Ufford, justice of Ireland ordering him to admit the archbishop of Armagh's attorneys in all matters touching the archbishop where the archbishop is unable to attend in person because of the dispute concerning the primacy of the archbishops in Ireland.3) The archbishop requests the king's charter concerning his purchase of two carucates of land in Kilcloher, the inquisition concerning which remained unanswered in parliament and remains in the custody of Roubiry, and the archbishop requests that the inquisition be answered.

Note
The petition dates to 1299-1303 as the inquisition apparently referred to in the third part of the petition dates to 27 May 1299, and the petitioner was dead by 10 May 1303 (Cal. Docs. Ireland, vol. IV, p.288 (no.605)).
