Bassingburn and Batayle request a commission to enquire of the chattels of Tuchet in Essex, as they allege that there are more of his goods and chattels in the county than were found by a previous inquisition held by the sheriff and Newport.

Note
The petition dates to 1322 as it clearly follows the rebellion of the earl of Lancaster, and because a writ of aid was issued to Dover and Bataille appointed to enquire of those who removed Tuchet's goods from his house on 20 May 1322 (CPR 1321-4, p.113).
