Nature of request
Travers requests a certain advancement as he has not had any provision for his service despite the letters of the late king, and he holds the office of constable of Bordeaux, but the pay is insufficient for the charges on it, and in the meantime he requests a suitable regard in aid of the charge.
Nature of endorsement
It seems to the council that, if it pleases the king, he should now have a regard of 100 marks, and that this would seem most just. And afterwards it was shown to the king and it pleased him.
