- [The petition is damaged and incomplete, and thus the sense is unclear.]Fitz Warin requests that it be commanded to the justices . . . parliament that the bill be determined and the distress taken from him be returned. Mortimer did . . . raise £120 from the hundred of Whittington which Merton and . . ., justices. Fitz Warin complained to the king concerning the justices . . . because he had a bill pending in parliament, and it was adjourned to the next parliament.

- The petition dates to 1309 as the chancery warrant in which the petition was formerly enclosed dates to March 1309 (CCW 1244-1326, p.284). Rees transcribes a lengthy endorsement to this petition, but this is almost certainly an error, as there is no sign that such an endorsement was ever written on this document.
