The abbot and convent claim Bootham as their borough, and the mayor and citizens claim it as their suburb, and following an earlier debate, the matter was resolved in the abbot and convent's favour by an inquisition, but now the mayor and citizens again claim it as their suburb and have ousted the abbot and convent.
