Nature of request
Barberes requests that he be given letters patent commanding the seneschal, constable or their lieutenants to deliver the bailiwick of Brassens and all the issues of the same from the time that he was ousted from the office to the time that it was delivered back to him, and that he might hold the same with the office of provost of Dax peacefully without disturbance. He was ousted by Gualard while he was in the king's service in England, and Feriol was commanded to restore him, but he refused alleging that Barberes was a baron of the king of France.
