[Petition in 4 parts].1) The people and inhabitants of have a custom that those who commit homicide are put to death, but the vicomte of Marsan and the comte of Armagnac that surround them allow a monetary penalty for homicides. There are riotous gatherings of the peoples of the jurisdictions where people are killed, but those of the vicomte and comte who commit homicides who escape to the vicomte and comte are able to escape the penalty within their jurisdiction. The people and inhabitants therefore request that they be granted that those of them who commit homicide towards strangers be able to escape in the same way as those strangers who commit homicide to them, or that those of them who commit homicide are able to escape according to the court of St Sever.2) France requests confirmation of the grant made to him by Pecchee of 50 'iornals' of land in the bastide of Rondeboeuf.3) France requests that he be granted that he might be able to make a mill in the river of the Landes in the same manner as Castandet granted to him.4) France requests that he be granted 4 'iornals' of land called the meadow in the mill of St Gein paying as much as others of the vill do for such land.
