Note (Additional information about the record)
- The petition is dated to c. 1452-c. 1463 on the basis that both the petitioner and Vach were active and going overseas in this period (CPR 1350-4, p.240; CPR 1361-4, pp.35, 433). Vach was active in royal service and traveled abroad as early as 1352, but no evidence seems to place the petitioner with him at any time, though Charnels went to Ireland in June 1361.
