Nature of request
The commonalty request that Magna Carta be observed and all the forest that was afforested in the time of Henry II and John be disafforested in accordance with it, and the commonalty will give the king 200 marks.1)
Nature of endorsement
Coram rege.2) The king previously sent trustworthy men to see and do this, and seeing these things were not to be done they did not wish to do it and the king is not advised to do it.
