Ravenser requests a warrant of Chancery to the treasurer and barons of the Exchequer to cease their demand on the master and brother for the subsidy as they have refused to allow an earlier warrant as their charter of exemption from such levies does not make express mention of the word 'subsidy'.
Nature of endorsement
11 February 4 [Ric. II], the king in the presence and by the advice of the lords [named] grants that the master and brothers be discharged of the subsidy granted to the king in parliament held at Gloucester according to the effect of their charters by the reason comprised in the petition.
