- [The petition is badly damaged, substantial parts from the right-hand side of the petition being missing, and parts of the remainder being illegible. The petition is clearly on the part of a Gascon town asking for the right to choose their mayor, possibly as they were accustomed to do. A guard note records that the petition was to be indexed under 'Bordeaux, inhabitants of', but a subsequent guard notes suggests that this petition comes from St Emilion. It is unclear which, if either, is right].
