- The petition is dated to c. 1327 as the petition refers to Edward I and II as grandfather and father of the present king. As this the third petition in a row from Gascony, the second of which is conclusively dated to 1332, it is possible that all three are near contemporaries (SC 8/172/8591 & 2).
