Nature of request
The converts request remedy as they were granted all deodands in all of the eyres throughout the realm to repair their chapel and buildings and to provide for their sustenance, but the late chancellor collected 200 marks in the eyre of Northampton and elsewhere and granted and assigned it elsewhere to their great impoverishment.1)

The petition is dated to c. 1330 on the basis of entries concerning the payments of sums raised from deodands to the converse, which are probably contemporary and by a Chancery warrant on the same matter(CCR 1330-3, pp.76, 80; C 81/169/3308).
