Marche requests that he be granted by charter that he may hold and build upon a vacant plot of land in the parish of St Clement outside the bar of New Temple rendering the rent assessed in an inquisition taken when the plot was granted to Odiham who died before his charter could be made.

The petition dates to c. 1304 as the original warrant to make the grant to Odiham which was not made before Odiham's death was issued on 6 July 1304, and Odiham's death cannot have been long after this date (CCW 1244-1326, p.226).
