Nature of request
Guar requests payment of his wages for his service in Bonnegarde so that he may maintain his estate and continue to serve the king as he was involved in the Gascon war at Bonnegard at his own expense and lost everything, and has not received his wages. He requests that he be granted the value of 40s on the herbage of Garde and Bonnegarde for him and his heirs.1)
Nature of endorsement
It is entered.2) Concerning his wages he should show the king [what he has] and he will make him have some payment in England, and for the remainder it is ordered to the constable that he shall make payment.3) Concerning the 40s it is advised to the council that he has it for his life, if it pleases the king.
