Nature of request
Beek requests that he be released from the fine that he was forced to make following his attachment for trespass against Wellington by great distress of imprisonment and by the commandment of Despenser because he was with the earl of Lancaster during his life, or that it be reduced, and payment made in instalments as his lands are deficient otherwise to make payment.
Nature of endorsement
It seems to the council that having regard for the reason for the fine that he ought to have pardon of part or all the sum, but now he should have postponement of the 5 marks per annum by the king's grace.
