Nature of request
Copy of a writ of Richard II to Portehay and others to hold an inquisition into the bishop of Exeter's rights in the church and priory of Plympton, as in the time of Bishop Grandisson, Prior Doulyssh was forced to resign as he had been elected without the king's licence and Person elected in his place, the presentation to the bishop's disinheritance.

Beaumont, Branscombe, Chisledon and Kendal have fully executed the writ as appears by the inquisition sown to the writ.
