Butetourt requests the restitution of the manor of Chenies which was her inheritance and she and her husband were forced to grant to Despenser for their involvement in his exile, and that the fine made by her husband while he was in prison because he was of the quarrel of the earl of Lancaster be annulled.

The petition dates to c. 1327 as the petition is clearly after the fall of Edward II and the Despensers but must be before November 1328 when the petitioner was dead (CFR 1327-37, p.112).
