Draycote requests that a writ be sent to Erdswick that he find sufficient surety to keep the peace towards her, her servants and tenants of the manor of Paynsley and Draycott in the Moors on pain of £100, and to answer, and the sheriff under the same penalty to deliver the writs to Erdswick. Erdswick had come with a greater number of people and ousted her from the manor and has seized livestock and a chest with muniments relating to the manor in it.

Note
The endorsement is dated to the 6 October, and although the regnal year is unclear, it is probably the second. The petition itself is addressed to the king's council, and makes mention of the ninth year of the king's father's reign, suggesting that it probably dates to the reign of Henry VI.
