Nature of request
The prior requests remedy as the king recovered the advowson of Ardcath against his predecessor by an error in the record, and although this judgment was reversed in King's Bench, nothing else has been done, and to delay the prior's right, William de Bardelby resigned [the benefice], and another has been presented by the king to the church.
Nature of endorsement
Let this petition be ordered into Chancery that the Chancellor is to make to come before him the tenor of the record and process which is in the place of the king, and if he finds that the errors are true and the judgment reversed, let the prior be restored to the estate which he had before the erroneous judgment, then let it be ordered by writ to the justice and chancellor of Ireland, and that if they have made any presentment to the church before the judgment is reversed, then they are to repeal the presentment and suffer the prior to have and enjoy the estate that the predecessors of the prior had before the erroneous judgment is rendered.
