Nature of request
The Graveneyes request a remedy that they are not taken as excommunicate by the archbishop of Canterbury as he does not have the right to judge them as this pertains to the abbot of St Augustine's. They have been excommunicated though they are not of the archbishop's jurisdiction because they did not wish to because they do not wish to be obedient to him and his ministers, and they have appealed to the court of Rome.
