Nature of request
Paynel requests that part of his arrears from the time that he was chamberlain of Chester be released as they have been for previous chamberlains having regard for their small fee, and that he has incurred great costs in his office and in levying the debts due to the king, and has rendered his account at his own cost.

Let this petition be sent into the Exchequer, and there let them hear the reasons and let justice be done.
