Nature of request
Stace requests that the record of the plea brought by the Chanciers against Anneise de Westhale and Stace that they had ravished and carried off John le Chancier and married him against the Chanciers' will be brought into parliament and a remedy be made. The exceptions pleaded by Westhale and Stace and others were disallowed whereupon they put themselves on the country and it was found that they ravished the heir but had not married him and damages of £250 were awarded though the land of the heir were only worth 20s. per annum
