Nature of request
Gracy requests a writ to the treasurer and barons of the Exchequer that they assign certain people to enquire on the purveyance that he made to the castles of Bristol and Chepstow for their stocking and that justice be done to him. He made purveyance by order by writ of the king's father to the castles by Wye, but the receivers of purveyance, Mar and Bernard would not give indentures of receipt, and the sums expended on the purveyance have not been allowed to Gracy, and nor can Mar or Bernard now be found.
