Nature of request
The representative sent to the king by the mayors, justices and commons of the towns of Libourne and Bourg request letters patent of the great seal that gifts made to the city of Bordeaux are not to be to the prejudice of the ports and other liberties and privileges of the towns of Libourne, Bourg and of the poor town of St Emilion.
Nature of endorsement
Give the last day of June in the 2nd year, present in the council: bishop of Exeter, chancellor; bishop of Bangor, bishop of Rochester, the earls of Northumberland and Westmorland, the keeper of the privy seal, Scarle, Prophet, . . .ward, Curzon, Frome. It seems to the council that the petition is reasonable and that execution ought to be made according to the effect of the petition.
