- Nature of request
- The petitioner requests remedy, stating that the king has granted to various people tronage of wool in various ports of England for the term of their life, together with the keeping of the tron. This used to be in the keeping of the king's customers, who used to render account for all the issues, but they can now only account for what the keepers of the tron report to them, to the king's damage.
- Nature of endorsement
- It seems to the council, if it pleases the king, that it would be best if the manner of the grants to the collectors of the king's grandfather be kept and maintained, and other offices touching the said matters are to be in the same estate, notwithstanding commissions made to the contrary, which should be repealed if it pleases the king.
