Nature of request
Margaret, widow of Madoc Fychan, states that she took the manor of Eyton at farm for the term of her life from the wife of Gruffydd ap Madoc at £10 per year, but Earl Warenne has disseised her of it. She requests justice for this, and for another vill, for which she has a charter. She also requests justice for Gruffydd the younger, who held this vill with Corwen and Cilymaenllwyd, for which she also has charters.
Nature of endorsement
This woman has done such wrong to the king that he is not obliged to show her grace; but let the king inquire of the earl concerning the said land[Further endorsements incomplete or illegible.]
