The petitioners request remedy, stating that they were appointed sub-collectors for Southam by Allord, collector for Gloucestershire of the fifteenth and tenth granted to the king in his fifth year. As such they assessed each person according to his ability to pay, including Cochet for certain land in Cockbury. Cockbury refused to pay, and therefore they distrained two cows from his lands and gave them to Allord. However, Cochet has since sued them over this, and they are in danger of being outlawed without the king's assistance.
