Nature of request
Pierre de Martilhac makes two requests.1) He requests confirmation of his tenure of the lands of Gout, a rebel against the king and his father, granted to him by the Earl of Kent for his good service and as compensation for his own lands, lost to the French.2) He requests that the £250 owed to him for his wages by bills sealed by the constable of Bordeaux be allowed to him against the bailiwick of Saint Macaire, which he holds at farm.1)
Nature of endorsement
The gift of Edmund, Earl of Kent, lieutenant of the former king in the duchy of Aquitaine, of the lands expressed in the earl's letters, is to be confirmed, to hold during the king's pleasure, and on condition that nothing is done against the agreements between the kings of England and France.2) Order the constable of Bordeaux to pay the sums outstanding to Pierre from the issues of the bailiwick of St Macaire, which Pierre holds.
