Nature of request
Richard, son of Richard Thurger of Spalding requests that the council view in parliament the record of an assize of novel disseisin brought against him and others by Randolf in King's bench in Michaelmas term in the king's seventh year regarding tenements in Spalding. He states that judgment was given against them contrary to the law, and asks that any errors in the judgment which they might find be corrected.
Nature of endorsement
[on face] Richard de Willoughby rendered the judgment.[on dorse] View the record in the next parliament.This is a copy of the charter which ought to have been enrolled in the record.Know that I, William son of Robert de Spalding, give to Margaret and Joan, my daughters, and the legitimate heirs of their bodies, ten acres of land in Spalding, to have etc., under this form, that if both should die, it will revert to the donor.
