Nature of request
Henry, Earl of Lancaster and Leicester, requests the return to him of all charters and other muniments relating to lands given to his father and brother by Henry III and Edward I, and lands bought from others. These charters were taken into the king's hands following the death of his brother Thomas, and are still retained.
Nature of endorsement
Have a writ in chancery to the treasurer and chamberlains of the Exchequer and any others in whose custody these charters remain, as stated by the earl, that they deliver up all such charters to the earl.
