Nature of request
The petitioners request remedy, stating the Maltravers, sitting as a justice of the forest in the forest eyre at Windsor, has deprived them of their rights of common at Langenhurst, claiming that it pertains to the manor of Barkham.
Nature of endorsement
Let people be assigned to enquire whether the said people are accustomed to have common, and when and why they were ousted, and let this inquest be returned into chancery.

Dated on the guard to? c.1330, on the basis of CFR 1327-37, p.233, a grant of Mautravers' lands following his forfeiture. The link between the two is unclear, but the petition is certainly likely to have followed on from Mautravers' forfeiture.
