Writ of diem clausit extremum addressed to the escheator, dated 20 May 1324, and the subsequent inquisition dated 26 May 1324, which finds that John de Thorp held half the manor of Combs in Suffolk of the king in chief in free socage; and that his heir is his eldest son, Robert de Thorp, who is over thirty years of age.
