Nature of request
Berenger requests that the King consider that although Despenser gave him the manor of Siddington with its goods and chattels for the term of his life, as appears by the charter which Despenser made to him, the petitioner received no other goods from Despenser for his long service, and that he be allowed to have the manor according to his title, and that the King confirm this. The petitioner has previously pursued his right but was not heard by Mautravers who is of ill will towards him.

Dated on the guard to c. 1327-c. 1330, with reference to CPR 1327-30, p. 14, a 1327 pardon to Ingelram Berenger for adherence to Hugh le Despenser the elder; CPR 1327-30, p. 571, a 1330 oyer and terminer re indictments laid against Ingelram Berenger in the return to a commission to discover the adherents of Edmund, late earl of Kent, in Dorset; and CFR 1327-37, p. 169, a 1330 order to the sheriffs of Somerset, Dorset, Wiltshire and Southampton to imprison Ingelram Berenger for certain seditions.
