Eure, the King's bachelor, requests that he have a writ to the justices of assize in Northumberland to proceed with his suit of mort d'ancestor brought against Eseby by the true right which he has, as appears by a fine levied in the King's court ... to the King by a bill delivered by some of his enemies that the said plea was moved by fraud ... to levy a sum of money which Darrayns owed the King, which allegation is false and malicious, as appears in the said fine, and Eure is ready to prove that they are his by right and reason. Eure has £40 of lands and chattels to the value of £300 which the King can ... the said debt.
