Nature of request
Brewouse requests remedy against the ministers of Margaret, late Queen of England, who sued by writ to levy 10 marks and 10s from him for Queen's gold, although Brewouse had paid to Edward I his relief for his inheritance, due after the death of his ancestor, that is 100 marks for the barony of Bramber and 100s for Gower which he held for a knight's fee.
Nature of endorsement
The treasurer and barons of the Exchequer are ordered to put the demand in respite until the next parliament and to cease distraints in the interim, and to discuss then whether the queen should have her gold in this case.
