Revele Noir requests remedy for the 37 marks 11s. 4d. which he lent the King in the first year of his reign (1327) in the port of Boston, as appears by the King's letters patent under the cocket seal. He has requested this in diverse parliaments by diverse petitions which were answered that they would be sent to the treasurer, barons and chamberlains of the Exchequer to view the letters obligatory and if they found that the debt was due that he should have payment or allowance, but he has had nothing.
Nature of endorsement
It should again be ordered by writ of Chancery to view the first request and the effect of the petition should go to the treasurer and barons of the Exchequer so that if the debt is due, he should have payment or suitable assignment.
