Chaumberleyn requests that the council send for Hebbe to appear before them to answer for his arrest of Grey, Mundekyn and Jones for their search, at Chaumberleyn's direction, of a ship of Clayson in the port of Chichester.

On 26 January 1403 it was agreed by the chancellor, treasurer and John Scarle that a writ would be sent to John Hebbe to appear before the council on 9 February next to answer concerning the matter contained in the petition.
