The petitioners state that, on 26 November 1382, they were presented with a patent from the king's chancery, stating that the king had presented Cliderowe to the church of St Peter Port, but that Pouchin had entered the church by virtue of papal provision. The king therefore ordered them to take Pouchin and bring him before him. [The rest of the petition is damaged, faded and largely illegible.] Dated at Guernsey, ... January (1383).
