Nature of request
John de Causton requests:1) Remedy for recovery of wheat to the value of £40 which Nicholas bought for him in Dublin on 24 June 1322 and which Islepe took without weighing or paying for it when he arrested the ship Nicholas was on called 'The Galley of Chester'.2) Remedy to the value of £40 for the loss of his merchant Nicholas, who Islepe arrested and imprisoned when Nicholas delivered letters sealed with the common seal of the mayor and commonalty of London to the mayor and bailiffs of Dublin asking for their help in the above matter.1)
Nature of endorsement
Regarding the first petition, because the said Walter is ... to the Exchequer of the Treasury of Ireland, a writ should be sent to the treasurer and barons of the Exchequer informing them of the things contained in this petition and justice should be done.2) And the same remedy should be done for the second petition.
