Nature of request
The prior of Ogbourne requests that the king repeal his presentation of the church of East Wretham to Norwich and allow the prior to have and enjoy the advowson according to his letters patent. The king, who had formerly presented Melton to the church of East Wretham, returned a presentation of the same to the abbot of Bec, who then ratified the estate of Braunford and repealed the presentation to Melton. The said church was then made vacant by the death of Braunford and the prior presented, instituted and inducted Broughton to the church, but the king presented Norwich to the same, followed by a scire facias.
