Nature of request
Bat Lavaine and Busques purchased about 45 journeys of wood in your forest of Crecy around Whitsun 1330 for which they would pay £67 for 12 terms over 4 years. In the following August the king of France made a proclamation throughout France that all currency should be depreciated, wherefore many merchants petitioned the Queen of England, then Countess of Ponthieu, to grant them remedy.
