- Thomas Fog states that at Martinmas in the king's thirty-fifth year he sent some gold, to the sum of 1700 marks sterling, to the Tower of London to be exchanged, which was seized by the king's officers without reason and for which he is now a prisoner. He requests that the king release him in reward for his services since otherwise he has no means of release.
