Nature of request
[The petition is damaged and incomplete.]Lacheley requests remedy as he was disseised of the manor of Lashley and of lands elsewhere in the county by Despenser and Cliff, Despenser then enfeoffing Badlesmere and his wife. Lacheley has sued two assizes of novel disseisin against Margaret de Badlesmere and Cliff but has been delayed by the death of Bartholomew de Badlesmere, the lands being taken into the king's hand and because the justices did not wish to proceed with the case.

[There is now no response to this petition, though it may be concealed beneath subsequent repairs, but the full edition of this petition found in Rot. Parl., vol. II taken from a Hale transcription gives the following:Let the certification be returned into Chancery, and the chancellor is to call those of the council to him, and let right be done].
