Note (Additional information about the record)
- The petition is dated to? 1378 as the charters of the priory were inspected and confirmed on 20 March 1378 (CPR 1377-81, p.165). It is not clear whether the request for the clause licet dates to slightly later than the inspeximus and confirmation, as the petition seems to be an additional request, and the enrolled summary found in the printed patent rolls makes no mention of the clause.
