- The abbot requests will have regard to his first order to the prior of Spalding to pay the abbot the £40 annuity in which the prior is bound to him by a composition made between them, and that the abbot can be served of the sum in accordance with the first order. The prior has detained it by colour of the aid [apport] reserved to the king in the common deliverance of the religious of the realm of France, and still detains it, though the aid was not meant to extend to such payments and the king has ordered the prior to pay.
