Nature of request
[Petition in 2 parts].1) The executors request payment of the arrears of the sum granted to them by the late king in his tenth year at his parliament of York for the manor of Oveston.2) The executors request payment of the arrears for the movables of Marish found in the manors of Langley and Wraysbury which were taken for the king's use as payment has twice been ordered in the ninth and seventeenth years of the late king, but payment was delayed by the malice of the Despensers, the bishop of Exeter, and Baldock.1)

The petition is dated to 1327 as the petition clearly refers to a complaint concerning the Despensers and others of Edward II's regime, and the treasurer and chamberlains were ordered to pay the executors on 12 March 1327 (CCR 1327-30, pp.59, 85).
