Nature of request
Sibthorpe requests that the manor of Flanflour with lands in Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire which were granted to him by the Hospitallers for life, and which were originally granted to the Hospitallers after the statute made concerning the Templars. He held the same for 2 years but was ousted by those claiming to be heirs of donors of the lands, and the same are now in the king's hand.
Nature of endorsement
He should show in Chancery the writing he has of the hospitallers and the king's charter, and if they are able to find that the petitioner was seised of the manors, lands and tenements and they are in the king's hand for the reason stated, then restitution should be made to the petitioner of the lands to be held as before.
