Nature of request
Hautot requests that the record of his suit be brought before the king together with the inquisition, and command two knights of the shire to take the inquisition, namely Huse and Aguillim. Hautot had espoused Amice de Chautens and she was taken between Cirencester and Arundel by le Clerk and others by force and arms by the command of Ferrings, and they robbed goods of Hautot to the value of £20. Hautot has sued for five years, but has been delayed, and Ferrings has procured his imprisonment, and he still has not been answered.
