Nature of request
Warenne requests that the king send someone by a commission of oyer and terminer to enquire of the great trouble that Legger has committed to the king's tenants, and that it be enquired of by people of the same liberty. Warenne complains that Legge has disseised the king of three bondagers at Beadnell, though he only be a dreng with no lordship, and that when Warenne summoned him before him he did not wish to answer to law, and Warenne has commanded him to the keeping of his constable at the castle until the king sends someone.
